Christina Howells

Christina Howells - Body By Christina Trainer ProfileChristina started her career as a fitness professional and aerobic teacher for David Lloyd Club, soon becoming fitness and health manager for the Eastbourne Branch. Her love of teaching and working closely with individuals eventually brought her to London where she focused on  personal training whilst immersing herself in the study of exercise science and psychology.

Her holistic approach and her amazing ability to achieve results has lead her to train individuals from all walks of life, including  professionals and celebrities. Trainer to Ralph Fiennes for over 5 years she dedicates her skills to really focusing on what clients want.

On being introduced to the fashion world Christina soon realised traditional training systems were not always in line with women’s aesthetics and wellbeing. This lead her to study pilates, yoga and women’s health issues, which together made her rethink her teaching style and dedicate her methodology to the female form.

A true advocate of the method she teaches Christina combines motivation to achieve goals with  an effective way to exercise that complements your lifestyle. Her sessions are fun and enjoyable with a keen eye on achieving and retaining  results, whilst breaking the barriers that hold you back.

Qualifications:

– Bsc (hons) Exercise Science
– Post Graduate certificate in Exercise and Sports Psychology (Exeter university)
– Diploma in Stress Counselling (East London University)
– Yoga Alliance, fully qualified yoga teacher (The Life Centre – London)
– Studied both mat and reformer with Stott pilates and the Garuda method with James D’Silvia

Christina is also a student of  Nutritional Therapy at Westminster University and a member of the Royal Society of Medicine. She is actively involved in keeping abreast of current research in nutrition and health in particular womens health.
